Infiniti QX80 officially teased, to debut at the Dubai International Motor Show

Early this year, Infiniti dropped a “design study” for their third-generation QX80 SUV called the QX80 Monograph. Although the car has been showed in its full glory, it does not represent the actual production model. Think of it as a concept car, if you will.

Now, the Japanese luxury carmaker has just teased the all-new QX80 in a series of images ahead of its global premier at the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show happening on 14 November. The overall design resembles the QX80 Monograph very much but the design has been refined to suit a production vehicle.

Infiniti’s design language has been scaled up considerably for its most commanding vehicle available in its stable. Flanked with the iconic double arch grille and signature headlamps, the QX80 will certainly be a head turner. Those outrageous 24-inch items on the “design study” have been swapped out for more conventional 22-inch multi-spoke items wrapped in 275/50 profile tyres, although it is not known whether Infiniti will offer other wheel options.

Locally, the Infiniti Malaysia has the second-generation QX80 on sale for a shade under RM800k and if it does arrive to our shores, do you think the Japanese marquee is able to go up against the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLS 400?
