BYD Sime Motor has launched the BYD Seal 6 sedan in Malaysia, as the first market to receive the car outside of China. BYD says this car is the biggest in the C-Segment class, and will be available in two variants, the Dynamic from RM100,000, and the Premium from RM115,800, both prices on the road and without insurance.
With a sleek, sporty profile and a design more in line with the Atto 2 than its larger Seal sedan sibling, the BYD Seal 6 achieves a drag coefficient of just 0.26 Cd.

It features LED headlights and a full-width taillight, and comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels. On the Premium variant, the front receives an upgraded full-width light bar, front door lights, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the BYD Seal 6 is kitted with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a (non-rotating) 12.8-inch central infotainment display that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Notable Standard interior equipment includes faux leather upholstery, Voice assistance with multi-language support, and a six-speaker sound system. The Premium variant receives upgrades such as a glasses storage box, an eight-speaker sound system, and a panoramic glass roof.

In the Dynamic variant, the car is a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 129 hp (95 kW) and 220 Nm of torque. Upgrade to the Premium variant, power is increased to 218 hp (160 kW) and 330 Nm of torque.
Both variants source power from a 56.64 kWh BYD Blade battery, allowing for a range of 485 km (NEDC) with support for 7 kW of AC and 100 kW of DC charging — the latter capable of a 30-80% charge in just 23 minutes.

Included in the price is a six-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, an eight-year/160,000 km battery warranty guaranteeing at least 70% state of health, and an eight-year/160,000 km electric drive unit warranty.
