BYD Sime Motor has launched the 2025 BYD Seal 6 in Malaysia, marking the international debut of the model outside of China. Positioned as the smaller C-segment sibling to the BYD Seal, the car is offered here in two variants — Dynamic and Premium — starting from RM100,000 on the road, without insurance, and inclusive of the extensive warranty package.

The car measures 4,720 mm long, 1,880 mm wide, and 1,495 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, making it slightly larger than the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and the Mazda 3, with BYD claiming it to be the biggest in its segment.

Despite carrying the ‘Seal’ name, the BYD Seal 6 adopts a design language closer in style to the recently launched BYD Atto 2. It features sleek, sporty bumpers, full-width front and rear light bars, and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. Standard exterior equipment on the BYD Seal 6 includes:

The BYD Seal 6 is available with three exterior colour options: Arctic White, Misty Blue, and Harbour Grey.

Inside, the BYD Seal 6 comes standard with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a (non-rotating) 12.8-inch central infotainment display. Like the Atto 2, it shares the same steering wheel design, with air-conditioning vents positioned below the centre screen and a steering column-mounted gear selector stalk. Built on the brand’s E-Platform 3.0, the BYD Seal 6 Dynamic features a single rear-mounted electric motor delivering 129 hp (95 kW) and 220 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 10.9 seconds. Upgrade to the Premium variant, and output increases to 218 hp (160 kW) and 330 Nm of torque, reducing the sprint time to just 7.5 seconds.
Both variants are fitted with a 56.64 kWh BYD Blade battery, allowing for a maximum range of 485 km (NEDC). To fill it up, the BYD Seal 6 supports up to 100 kW of DC charging and 7 kW of AC charging — the former juicing the car up from 30-80% in just 23 minutes. For the Premium variant, the car is fitted with three additional drive modes.
Notably, the BYD Seal 6 comes standard with dual ball-joint MacPherson suspension at the front and multi-link suspension setup at the rear. BYD Malaysia says the suspension system has been made stiffer and specifically tuned for our Malaysian roads for a more refined and sportier drive.

Safety-wise, the BYD Seal 6 comes standard with six airbags, alongside several advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS):
- Stop and Go Full Speed Adaptive Cruise Control (S&G, ACC)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)
- Front Collision Warning (FCW)
- Brake Override System (BOS)
- Intelligent High Beam Control
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
- 360-degree surround view camera
Priced from RM100,000 for the Dynamic and RM115,800 for the Premium, the car comes standard with a six-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, an eight-year/160,000 km battery warranty guaranteeing at least 70% state of health, and an eight-year/160,000 km electric drive unit warranty.
