Following its debut at My BMW World 2025, BMW Malaysia has now announced the official pricing for the all-new BMW 218 Gran Coupe Sport. Coming in as a locally assembled (CKD) model, the second-generation 2 Series Gran Coupe is priced at RM240,500, on-the-road, without insurance, and includes the BMW Service and Repair Inclusive (BSRI) package.
The official pricing is just short of the estimated retail price of RM241,000 as announced during its unveiling, but comes in at RM18,700 pricier than the previous generation 2 Series Gran Coupe.
For the more premium sticker price, the BMW 218 Gran Coupe Sport is powered by an uprated 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that makes 156 hp and 230 Nm – 16 hp and 10 Nm more powerful than the outgoing model. This is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h.
Additionally, BMW has enhanced the driving dynamics of the all-new 218 Gran Coupe Sport with highly pre-tensioned anti-roll bar bearings and a refined rear multi-link suspension for improved handling and ride comfort. It also features an integrated ARB (actuator-related wheel slip limitation) system for better traction.

These are wrapped in a new exterior design that is more minimalist than the previous model. The front bumper omits the large cutouts for the faux air intake vents, and also removes the front fog lights in the process. Towards the side, the iconic Hofmeister kink is now embossed with the number “2”.
The rear design of the BMW 218 Gran Coupe mirrors the front aesthetic. A notable difference is that the tailpipes are now concealed, as opposed to an exposed setup on the outgoing model.
Moving inside, the BMW 218 Gran Coupe Sport features BMW’s latest Curved Display, comprising a 10.7-inch infotainment screen with a 10.25-inch digital cluster. The centre console is also redesigned and now features integrated cupholders.
For safety systems, the BMW 218 Gran Coupe Sport is equipped with BMW’s Driving Assistant Plus suite of ADAS features. These include lane change warning, Speed Limit Info, rear Cross-Traffic Alert with brake intervention, and exit warning.
The BMW 218 Gran Coupe Sport is available as a CKD model in Malaysia and is priced at RM240,500, inclusive of the BSRI package, which includes a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and five-year or 100,000 km of service coverage. Omitting the BSRI package drops the sticker price to RM218,800.
