2025 Hyundai Tucson facelift launched in Malaysia – 4 variants, priced from RM144k

Hyundai Motor Company (HMC), via Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY), has launched the Hyundai Tucson facelift in Malaysia. Priced from RM143,888 on-the-road, without insurance, four variants are available and will be available as a fully imported (CBU) unit until HMY’s plant in Kulim, Kedah, becomes operational for local assembly (CKD) by Q3 2025.

  • Hyundai Tucson 2.0 Style – RM143,888
  • Hyundai Tucson 1.6T Prime – RM164,888
  • Hyundai Tucson 1.6T Prestige – RM186,888
  • Hyundai Tucson HEV Prestige – RM197,888

Notably, these new prices for the Hyundai Tucson in Malaysia are RM15,000 cheaper for the base variant and RM2,000 more expensive for the range-topping option, although the new model does come with a more advanced hybrid powertrain. For an apples-to-apples comparison, the Tucson 1.6T Prestige still comes in at RM9,000 cheaper than the previous 1.6T Max.

At a glance, the Hyundai Tucson facelift is largely similar to the pre-facelift model, but with several updated design elements. These include the new “Parametric Jewel” daytime-running lights (DRLs), which are previously flush with the front bumper, now protruding from the front grille for a more aggressive design.

Furthermore, the facelift now features only eight (larger) DRL elements in total, as opposed to 10 on the pre-facelift model, for a cleaner design. Likewise, the front bumper of the facelifted Tucson now gains a new black trim, and the Hyundai emblem on the tailgate is now integrated into the rear windshield.

This mill can be found in the base Style 2.0 variant.

Newly introduced with the facelift is a new hybrid powertrain featuring a 1.6-litre turbocharged straight-four that is paired with an electric motor, which makes 65 hp (47.7 kW) and 264 Nm and is juiced by a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The latter colour is only available for the Prestige variant.
