Video: Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II: The “I’m not-a-Royalty” Roller

Tired of drawing all the attention every time you’re chauffeured? Don’t worry, because the new Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II is here, and it aims to be even more subtle, yet still unmistakably a Rolls-Royce – well, as subtle as a Rolls can be, anyway.

Compared to its previous iteration, the Ghost Series II introduces slimmer headlights, a redesigned front bumper, and taillights now inspired by those on its fully electric (EV) sibling, the Spectre.

There’s also a new exterior colour called Mustique Blue, which the carmaker says emulates the Caribbean island of the same name, part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. You might be familiar with it if you frequently travel to that part of the world.

Ushered into the cabin of the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II, you are indulged with a poshly named Duality Twill. This new rayon material, made from bamboo, is available in three colours – Lilac, Chocolate, and Black. It can be complemented with stitching offered in 51 colours.

While immersing yourself in luxury and your success, you’ll be chauffeured, aside from your driver, by a 6.75-litre V12 engine. This powerhouse delivers 571 hp and 850 Nm of torque, sending power to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. 0-100 km/h time? Not that it’s important for a car like the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II, but it’ll elegantly reach it in 4.8 seconds.

If for some reason that is not enough, there’s the Black Badge edition, which sees the 6.75-litre V12 make 591 hp and 900 Nm of torque and complete the century sprint a smidge faster in 4.7 seconds.

How much for one? As the saying goes, the limit here is probably how many zeros are in your bank account balance.
