Shell Recharge and Pro-Net, Proton’s new energy vehicle (NEV) arm, have announced a collaboration to simplify EV charging for owners of Proton eMAS and Smart vehicles in Malaysia.
This partnership will enable owners of Proton eMAS and Smart vehicles to locate and pay for EV charging at Shell Recharge stations nationwide through the Proton eMAS and Hello Smart mobile applications.
To commemorate this collaboration, Shell Recharge is offering an exclusive promotion to all Proton eMAS and Smart owners. From 26 May 2025 to 9 June 2025, users of the Proton eMAS and Hello Smart apps will enjoy a 30% discount at HPC bays located at Shell stations, and a 10% discount at other Shell Recharge sites nationwide, when payment is made via these two apps.
Furthermore, this collaboration aligns with the Malaysian government’s vision of a unified and accessible EV ecosystem, as seen in PLANMalaysia’s development of an app to integrate all charge point operators (CPO) in Malaysia into a single platform.
Shell Malaysia is also actively expanding its EV charging infrastructure across the country. Recent additions include the High-Performance Charging (HPC) corridor that now connects the East Coast to the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

“At Shell, we believe convenience is key to accelerating EV adoption. We recognise the need to provide EV drivers with intuitive solutions that meet their charging needs, and that is exactly what we are delivering through this collaboration with Pro-net,” said Shell Malaysia, General Manager, Mobility & Convenience, Seow Lee Ming.
According to Pro-Net Chief Executive Officer, Zhang Qiang, owners can already access over 2,500 charging points via the integrated live charging map available through the vehicle’s infotainment display and also the Proton eMAS and Hello Smart mobile applications.
