TC Subaru has launched the all-new Subaru Crosstrek in Malaysia. A single fully-imported (CBU) variant from Japan is available, priced at RM190,788, on-the-road, without insurance.
The Subaru Crosstrek might seem familiar, as it was previously known as the Subaru XV. The Japanese carmaker has now standardised the Crosstrek name globally, derived from the words “Crossover” and “Trekking”.

The Subaru Crosstrek rides on an improved version of the Subaru Global Platform. This latest iteration features a new full-inner-frame construction and benefits from refinements, including the expanded use of structural adhesives and greater suspension connection rigidity.
Much like its predecessor, the Crosstrek features rugged styling elements, including cladded front and rear bumpers, and it carries over the wagon-esque body profile of the XV. It also comes equipped with roof rails for owners who want to use their Crosstrek for various activities. Other standard exterior equipment found on the Subaru Crosstrek includes:

Under the bonnet, the Subaru Crosstrek in Malaysia utilises a naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre four-cylinder boxer engine. It produces 156 hp and 196 Nm, which is channelled to the Subaru’s signature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, via a CVT gearbox.
For safety, the Subaru Crosstrek comes equipped with the Eyesight suite of ADAS features. This now includes a new stereo camera and a wide-angle mono camera, both with enhanced object recognition at wider angles and from greater distances. The suite of ADAS features includes:
- Adaptive cruise control (ACC)

These are Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Magnetite Grey Metallic, Crystal Black Silica, Sapphire Blue Pearl, Pure Red, Sand Dune Pearl, and Citron Yellow Pearl. Priced at RM190,788, included in the price of the Subaru Crosstrek includes a five-year warranty.
