Compared to the previous 1.5-litre variant, the new Mazda 3 1.5L High Plus is RM29,700 cheaper, and despite its significant price cut, the car is equipped with the same specification as the more expensive 2.0-litre variants.

These include automatic LED headlights with Signature Illumination, replacing the halogen units found in the previous 1.5L model. Wheel sizes are also upgraded to 18-inch units, up from the 16-inch units offered previously.

Similarly, the interior of the Mazda 3 1.5L High Plus is equipped with leather upholstery, 10-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat and memory function, and dual-zone climate control with rear air vents. The interior further benefits from a 10.25-inch Mazda Connect infotainment system and wireless Apple CarPlay.

Unlike the previous 1.5-litre variant, which lacked ADAS, the new Mazda 3 1.5L High Plus comes standard with Mazda Radar Cruise Control with stop and go support, cruising and traffic support, blind spot monitors, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and driver attention alert.

The Mazda 3 1.5L High Plus is powered by the SkyActiv-G naturally aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine as before, which produces 118 hp and 153 Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox. Fuel efficiency is rated at 5.8 L/100km for the Sedan and 5.9 L/100km for the Liftback, measured on the NEDC cycle.
