Ford Malaysia, through Sime Darby Auto Connexion, has launched the new Ford Ranger Raptor Sport in Malaysia. Priced at RM273,888, this limited-edition variant is based on the existing 3.0-litre V6 Ranger Raptor and marks the model’s third anniversary in the country.
The new Ford Ranger Raptor Sport carries a bolder look with “Raptor” side decals and a sports bar above the truck bed, while its standout upgrade is the new 17-inch beadlock wheels (beadlock rings available separately) built for serious off-roading. The limited edition pickup will be offered exclusively in two colours: Arctic White and Meteor Grey.
As a Ranger Raptor, it will continue to feature sportier, more rugged styling and underbody bash plates. Most notably, it will also carry the FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve shocks and rear differentials — suitable for off-roading enthusiasts eager to take their Raptors on any form of Baja activities.
The new Ranger Raptor Sport is based on the V6 petrol variant and comes exclusively with the 3.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, producing 397 hp and 583 Nm of torque. Power is sent through a 10-speed automatic transmission to a full-time 4WD system with e-Locking front and rear differentials.
While some markets are reportedly phasing out the 2.0-litre bi-turbo four-cylinder diesel used in the Ranger and Everest, it will still remain available locally. This variant delivers 210 hp and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox with SelectShift and rear-locking differentials.

Inside, fans of the existing Ranger Raptor will feel right at home. The cabin retains features such as a 12-inch touchscreen centre display, a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, an eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and suede-and-leather combination upholstery.
The new Ford Ranger Raptor Sport is priced at RM273,888 on the road, excluding insurance. By comparison, the non-Sport V6 Raptor starts at RM263,888, while the 2.0-litre Raptor is priced at RM249,888. All prices include a 5-year/160,000km warranty and a complimentary 2-year service package for added peace of mind.
