Bentley has unveiled the new Bentley Continental GT Supersports, a limited edition model with only 500 units to be available worldwide. Marking the fourth model to carry the Supersports name, it becomes the lightest and most performance-focused Continental GT ever, and the first to be offered exclusively with rear-wheel drive.
The Supersports treatment was first applied to a Bentley 100 years ago, in 1925. It was based on the original 3 Litre but featured a more powerful engine and a shorter chassis. The car went on to become the first Bentley to go over 100 mph (161 km/h), and was extremely exclusive, with only 18 units built.
The second and third iterations of the Supersports name came with the first and second generation Bentley Continental GT in 2009 and 2017, and now, the fourth Supersports is here on the third-generation Continental GT. Just like the original, it continues to be built following the same principles — more power, lighter, and rarer.
It inherits the standard Continental GT’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, but outputs here on the Supersports have now been raised to 666 hp and 800 Nm. While it doesn’t quite match the Continental GT Speed’s power figures, the Supersports delivers its performance without any electric assistance.
Power goes to the rear wheels only — a first for the Continental GT — via a retuned eight-speed ZF dual-clutch transmission, with an sLSD improving traction and driver engagement. Altogether, the Supersports sprints from 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and tops out at roughly 310 km/h (official figures coming soon).

Building on those mechanical upgrades, it’s also fitted with a full-length titanium exhaust — unique to the Supersports — developed in collaboration with Akrapovic to make sure it sounds as dramatic as it drives.
The new Supersports is also kitted with new bumper and front grille designs, coupled with new vents for improved cooling. Its front bumper is also integrated with a front splitter – the largest aerodynamic splitter ever fitted to a road-going Bentley – for improved aerodynamics. It also sees new B-shaped fender blades that manage the airflow from the front wheel arches, aiding the flow of high-pressure air.

A new rear diffuser is integrated into the bumper, featuring vents for the rear wheel arches. Most notably, the car also features a fixed rear spoiler — rather uncommon for a Bentley. Altogether, it generates over 300 kg more downforce than a Continental GT Speed.
The car rides on 22-inch forged and machined aluminium alloy wheels developed with Manthey Racing, offered in two finishes: Black Painted or Black Painted with a machined silver accent. Bentley says the rear track has been widened by 16 mm, and the wheels come wrapped in Pirelli P Zeros as standard. For even more grip, buyers can opt for Trofeo RS tyres, which Bentley claims make the car up to 30% faster and capable of generating 1.3 g of peak lateral force.

Bentley says the new Super Sports is over 500 kg lighter than the standard Continental GT and will weigh less than 2,000 kg — making it the lightest Bentley in 85 years. The most significant weight savings are coming from the powertrain, thanks to the absence of a PHEV system and AWD. The aluminium roof has been replaced by carbon fibre, while the rear cabin, consisting of rear seatbelts, insulation, and audio systems, has been completely removed. Certain driver assistance also deleted, as Bentley says it’s “not required on a driver-focused GT”.
To sharpen its handling, the Supersports uses recalibrated air suspension with aluminium double wishbones up front and a multi-link rear axle. New ECU-controlled twin-chamber dampers work with a 48V electric anti-roll system that can deliver up to 1,300 Nm of counter-roll torque in just 0.3 seconds. As standard, braking is handled by 440 mm front Carbon-Silicon-Carbide (CSiC) discs with 10-piston callipers, and 410 mm rear discs with four-piston callipers.

Moving inside, Bentley says that “every detail is engineered to elevate the driving experience, redefining performance-focused luxury”. The Supersports features lightweight 11-way power-adjustable sports seats that sit lower in the cabin. With the rear seats removed, a carbon-fibre tub takes their place, while the rest of the interior blends carbon fibre with leather and Dinamica trim. As a limited edition, the centre console carries a numbered badge.
As with all Supersports models, the new Continental GT can be extensively customised, offering over 29 exterior colours, tri-tone cabin layouts, and more. For those who prefer alternatives to full carbon, trim options include Diamond Brushed or Engine Turned Aluminium, or the sleek simplicity of Piano Black.
Orders for the new Bentley Continental GT Supersports open in March 2026, with production starting in Q4 the same year and first deliveries expected in 2027. Bentley has yet to announce a starting price — but if you’re asking, chances are you’re not the target “client.”
