Mitsubishi Xpander still Malaysia’s best-selling non-national MPV, over 50,000 units sold

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) announced today that the Mitsubishi Xpander has surpassed 50,000 units sold since its launch in Malaysia. This achievement cements its status as the number one best-selling non-national MPV in Malaysia for the fifth consecutive year.

In conjunction with this milestone, MMM has launched its ‘XPander Step Up To Your Dream’ campaign. For a limited time, this campaign offers savings of up to RM10,000, which includes low monthly instalments from RM799, an insurance subsidy, and a special trade-in offer.

The Mitsubishi Xpander offers two seven-seater variants, priced between RM99,980 and RM109,980. The 2024 facelift introduces a bolder front fascia with the new “Dynamic Shield” design and a revised rear light signature.

While the vehicle’s overall dimensions remain the same at 4,475 mm long, 1,730 mm wide, 1,750 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm long, the ground clearance has been increased by 15 mm to 225 mm, which MMM claims is the best in its class.

As standard, the Mitsubishi Xpander comes with a 9-inch infotainment display featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, complemented by a 4.2-inch colour multi-info display for the driver. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, fabric upholstery, and four USB ports. The top-range Plus variant adds a wireless charging pad, leatherette upholstery, and interior scuff plates.

Powering both variants is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 104 hp and 141 Nm, sent to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.

For safety, the Mitsubishi Xpander comes with cruise control, hill-hold assist, an emergency stop signal, and a reverse camera, but it is not equipped with ADAS features. The top-range Plus variant adds a 360-degree surround view camera, front and rear driving video recorders.

Commenting on the achievement, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia CEO, Takashi Sakamaki, said, “This achievement not only reflects our dedication to delivering vehicles that meet the needs of Malaysian families but also marks a proud moment as over 50,000 customers have chosen the Xpander. We remain fully committed to supporting your journey, today and for many years to come.”
