Leapmotor B10 debuts in Thailand: same power as C10, smaller package

Confirmed for Malaysia earlier this year, Thailand is once again a step ahead as it welcomes the launch of the Leapmotor B10, the smaller sibling to the Leapmotor C10. According to a report by Autolifethailand, it’s offered in three variants: Life, Style, and Design, with prices starting from THB688,000 (approx. RM89k), THB748,000 (approx. RM96k), and THB788,000 (approx. RM102k), respectively.

Measuring 4,515 mm long, 1,885 mm wide, 1,655 mm tall, and with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm, the Leapmotor B10 is sized closely to other electric Chinese SUVs in the Land of Smiles, such as the BYD Atto 3, MG S5 EV, and Geely EX5 (known as the Proton eMAS 7 in Malaysia).

The Leapmotor B10 shares a familiar look with its larger C10 sibling but adopts a split headlight design paired with the marque’s signature lightbar. It also features hidden door handles, a fixed panoramic sunroof, and rides on 18-inch wheels as standard.

Inside, those familiar with the Leapmotor C10 will feel right at home, as the B10 uses the same 14.6-inch floating infotainment screen paired with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. While Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are still unavailable, Autolifethailand reports that both features will arrive by December 2025.

The Leapmotor B10 in Thailand is offered with a single powertrain option — a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 218 hp and 240 Nm of torque. This allows for a 0-100 km/h sprint time of eight seconds with a top speed of 170 km/h

The main differences between the variants lie in their battery sizes. The range starts with the Life variant, which features a CATL-sourced 56.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering up to 470 km of range (NEDC). AC charging supports up to 11 kW, while DC fast charging goes up to 140 kW

The Style and Design variants, on the other hand, are fitted with a larger 67.1 kWh LFP battery capable of a NEDC-rated range of 516 km. Just like the smaller battery, AC charging is also supported at 11 kW, but boasts faster DC charging capabilities at 168 kW. All variants boast the same 30-80% DC charge time of 18-20 minutes and feature Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) support of up to 3.3 kW

Notably, prices for the Leapmotor B10 undercut many of its competitors in the same segment in Thailand. For example, the BYD Atto 3 starts from THB699,900 (approx. RM90k), while the Geely EX5 (Proton e.MAS 7 in Malaysia) starts from THB859,000 (approx. RM111k), and the MG S5 EV starts from THB719,900 (approx. RM93k).

Noting that Leapmotor plans to bring the B10 to Malaysia as a locally assembled (CKD) model, it should be exempt from import and excise duties, potentially allowing for a starting price below RM100,000.
