2024 Mitsubishi Xpander facelift launched in Malaysia – two variants, from RM100k

 has launched the 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander facelift. The new 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander comes with a price tag from RM99,980 to RM109,980, on the road and without insurance. It comes with two variants: a standard base variant and, the Xpander Plus variant. It is an MPV that is directly competing with the likes of Toyota Veloz and Perodua Alza.

Dimension-wise, the facelifted Mitsubishi Xpander remains unchanged at 4,475 mm in length, 1,730 mm in width, 1,750 mm in height, and is underpinned by a 2,775 mm wheelbase. It comes with a MacPherson suspension setup with stabiliser bar at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. Ground clearance has been raised by 15 mm, to 225 mm, which Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia claims is the best in its class.

Standard exterior items on the facelifted Mitsubishi Xpander include:

  • Automatic LED headlamps
  • LED daytime-running-lights (DRLs)
  • Front and rear bumper finished in black
  • Door handles finished in chrome
  • LED taillights
  • New 17-inch alloy wheels

The Plus variant adds:

  • Front and rear bumper finished in silver
  • Side skirt finished in silver
  • Door visor
  • Tailgate spoiler

The powertrain on the facelifted Mitsubishi Xpander also remains unchanged from before. It is powered by a MIVEC 1.5 litre naturally-aspirated engine with 104 hp and 141 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic.
