In China, things move fast—especially in the automotive industry. Launched just over a year ago in China, the Zeekr 7X is already set for a powertrain update. According to a filing with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) reported by CarNewsChina, the Zeekr 7X will look mostly the same but gain a larger battery and a more powerful electric motor.
The updated Zeekr 7X will still be offered in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) variants. Power for the RWD model now climbs to 503 hp (up from 421 hp), while the AWD version gains a 292 hp front motor (up from 224 hp), boosting total output to 795 hp (up from 646 hp). Torque figures have yet to be revealed.

As for what’s powering these motors, the batteries it will come in two capacities: a 75 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery and a 103 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery option — the latter being a slight improvement over the current 100 kWh battery.
According to the report, the smaller 75 kWh battery now offers a CLTC-rated range of 600 km to 620 km (slightly lower than the current 605 km rating due to the added power). Meanwhile, with the larger 103 kWh battery, the CLTC-rated range rises to 802 km, 770 km, or 715 km depending on the configuration.

The report also noted that Zeekr plans to upgrade the 7X from its current 800-volt system to a 900-volt setup. This could bring faster charging, improved efficiency, or better performance, though we’ll have to wait for the official release for confirmation.
The Zeekr 7X wa recently launched in Malaysia in three variants: the 75 kWh RWD Standard, the 100 kWh RWD Long Range, and the 100 kWh AWD Performance. Prices start at RM179,800, RM190,800, and RM226,800 respectively, on-the-road and without insurance.
