Nearly four months after it was first previewed here, Zeekr Malaysia has finally launched the all-new electric Zeekr 7X on our shores. Three variants will be available with prices starting at RM179,800 on-the-road, without insurance.
- Zeekr 7X RWD Standard – RM179,800
- Zeekr 7X RWD Long Range – RM190,800
- Zeekr 7X AWD Performance – RM226,800
Measuring 4,787 mm long, 1,930 mm wide, and 1,650 mm tall, the Zeekr 7X is shorter than both the BYD Sealion 7 and the Tesla Model Y. However, its 2,900 mm wheelbase positions it right between the Tesla and the BYD. Adopting the minimalist and curvy design popular among EVs nowadays, the Zeekr 7X looks very futuristic. This advanced aesthetic is further emphasised by the numerous cameras scattered around the exterior, which are part of its comprehensive safety systems.
Standard exterior equipment for the Zeekr 7X includes frameless doors, flush door handles, a powered tailgate, LED headlights and tailights, a panoramic roof with sunshade, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and frameless side mirrors with heating, power adjustment, power folding, memory, and reverse auto angle adjustment.
Stepping up to the AWD Performance variant sees the rims upsized to 20-inch wheels, which can also be optioned with even larger 21-inch items. The AWD Performance variant suspension is also upgraded to a single-chamber air suspension system with Continuous Damping Control (CDC) and automatic doors.
For those who are interested in the quirky Zeekr Stargate Integrated Smart Light Curtain, which enables graphics and messages to be displayed on the Zeekr 7X’s front, you’ll have to get the top-range AWD Performance variant, as it is exclusive to this variant.
As standard, the Zeekr 7X interior is finished in a black theme, with 14-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat and 10-way for the front passenger, three-zone climate control, and a 10-speaker sound system.
For rear passengers, the seats have a 10-degree power recline function, and the centre console houses a fridge with a capacity of eight litres that can operate between -15 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius. Boot space is rated at 539 litres, which is expandable to 1,978 litres. For additional storage space, there’s a 62 litre frunk and several underseat storage compartments beneath the rear passenger bench seat.
Upgrading to the RWD Long Range adds on power-adjustable steering wheel column, alongside memory, ventilation, and massaging functions to the front seats, while the front passenger also gains 14-way power adjustment. The sound system is also upgraded to a 21-speaker system setup, with two 50W wireless charging pads and a 36.21-inch AR heads-up display (HUD). The top-spec AWD Performance variant further adds a powered sunshade for the rear side glass and a purple and white interior theme.
Infotainment is provided by a 16-inch infotainment touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. For the driver, there’s a 13.02-inch digital gauge cluster.
Two battery pack capacities will be available for the Zeekr 7X in Malaysia, with all variants based on an 800V architecture. The range starts with a 75 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, which enables a WLTP range of 480 km on the RWD Standard variant.
This battery pack powers a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 421 hp (310 kW) and 440 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.0 seconds. Charging is supported at 22 kW AC and up to 450 kW DC, the latter enabling a 10-80% recharge in 10.5 minutes. Vehicle-to-load (V2L) is also supported at 3.3 kW.
Stepping up to the RWD Long Range variant sees the 7X equipped with a larger 100 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery. This bumps the targeted range up to 610 km (WLTP) while using the same powertrain as the RWD Standard. Here, charging specifications are supported at the same at 22 kW AC, but DC charging is slower at 420 kW DC, which takes a longer 10-80% recharge in 16 minutes.
The top-range AWD Performance variant is equipped with the same 100 kWh battery but gains an electric motor on the front axle, which boosts the combined output to 646 hp (475 kW) and 710 Nm of torque. This drops the 0-100 km/h time to 3.8 seconds, while its range is rated at 543 km (WLTP).
All variants of the Zeekr 7X in Malaysia will come with a suite of ADAS features powered by 12 high-definition cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and one millimetre-wave radar. These hardware components enable features like:
- Adaptive cruise control (ACC) with Lane centring control (LCC)

- Emergency lane keep assist (ELKA)
- Automatic lane change with turn signal input
- Autonomous emergency braking (AEV)
- Forward collision warning (FCW)

The Zeekr 7X is available in Malaysia with Crystal White as a standard exterior colour, alongside four cost options that include Onyx Black, Tech Grey, Forest Green, and Brook Blue with a Silver roof, the latter colour is only exclusive to the AWD Performance variant.
Priced from RM179,800, included in the price of the Zeekr 7X is a standard five-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, an eight-year/160,000 km battery warranty, and a one-year complimentary connected service package, which includes support for on-board navigation and over-the-air (OTA) updates.
