Mazda is moving upmarket with its new Large Product lineup. Leading the charge is the Mazda CX-80, a six-seater luxury SUV packed with the best of what the brand has to offer, and is priced here in Malaysia from RM331,610.40 on-the-road, without insurance, including an extensive warranty package.
Designed with Mazda’s signature Kodo Design Philosophy, the flagship SUV sports a bold yet refined look that avoids being overly flashy. It rides on 20-inch wheels, features LED headlights and taillights, and comes in a choice of five exterior colours.
Inside, the car features dual 12.3-inch displays — one for the digital instrument cluster and one for the infotainment system, the latter supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The interior features two-tone Nappa leather upholstery and is complemented by Gunmetal trims for a luxurious touch.
Notable interior features include a 12-speaker Bose sound system, second-row captain’s seats with power reclining, heating, and ventilation, and a 360-degree surround view camera.

Built on Mazda’s Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture, the CX-80 is powered by a 2.5-litre e-Skyactiv plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain, the first for the brand in Malaysia. The PHEV mill produces a total system output of 346 hp and 648 Nm of torque.
If using the engine in city traffic feels wasteful, the Mazda CX-80 offers an electric-only range of 65 km (WLTP), courtesy of the 17.8 kWh lithium-ion battery. It supports up to 7.2 kW AC charging, enabling a full charge in just two and a half hours.

The Mazda CX-80 is offered in a single CBU variant, priced from RM331,610.40 on-the-road, and without insurance. This includes a five-year manufacturer’s warranty and a five-year free maintenance programme covering labour, parts, and lubricants. Both are valid for up to five years or 100,000 km, while the High-Voltage (HV) battery is backed by a separate warranty of eight years or 160,000 km.
