Jetour Auto Malaysia has officially commenced local assembly (CKD) operations for the Jetour Dashing and Jetour VT9, following its collaboration with Berjaya Assembly (B-Assembly), who will serve as the marque’s local production partner.
The CKD operations are being carried out within B-Assembly’s existing 640,000 sq. ft. facility in Tampoi, Johor Bahru. Equipped with Industry 4.0-ready systems that integrate AI and robotics, the plant is supported by a dedicated workforce of over 100 employees, and will act as Jetour’s strategic manufacturing and distribution hub for the ASEAN region.
To date, the plant has produced over 1,000 vehicles, with deliveries of the CKD Jetour Dashing already commenced since June 2025, followed by the VT9 shortly after.
Speaking on the milestone, Jetour International Vice President, Wen Qiangkang said, “This important milestone reflects our strong confidence in Malaysia as a strategic market for Jetour. The local assembly of the Dashing and VT9 is not only a production advancement but also a significant investment in talent, innovation, and the future potential of mobility in the region.”
