MG Motor Malaysia will now offer a leatherette and suede seat upholstery upgrade for the fully electric (EV) MG4 Standard variant, replacing the standard fabric seats for an additional RM1,600.
The seat upholstery upgrade covers both the front and rear seats, and even includes an embroidered MG4 emblem in blue for some extra pizzazz. The upholstery option will be available for both new and existing owners of the MG4 Standard.
The MG4 Standard is the entry-level variant for the EV hatchback, currently priced at RM103,999 on-the-road and without insurance. It’s powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 170 hp and 250 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds.
Equipped with a 51 kWh battery pack, the MG4 Standard variant offers a WLTP range of 350 km. It supports 7 kW AC charging and 150 kW DC charging, with the latter enabling a 10-80% charge in 37 minutes.

Aside from the new seat upholstery option, MG Motor Malaysia has also announced its “MG Raya Lebih Gaya” campaign in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, offering exclusive savings and financial incentives for its models. These include:
- RM10,000 rebate for the MG5 (valid until 31 March 2025)
- RM5,000 rebate for the MG HS
- Free instalment plans for the MG ZS EV, MG4 EV Lux, and MG4 EV Standard
Customers who purchase an MG vehicle during the campaign period will also receive a blind box giveaway.
