The all-new second-generation 2024 Porsche Macan, now in pure electric vehicle (EV) form, has now been launched in Malaysia. Four variants are available in total, namely the Macan, Macan 4, Macan 4S, and Macan Turbo, with prices starting at RM430,000 on-the-road and without insurance.
- Porsche Macan – RM430,000
- Porsche Macan 4 – RM445,000
- Porsche Macan 4S – RM535,000
- Porsche Macan Turbo – RM635,000
Coming in as Porsche’s second dedicated EV model, and the first in an SUV bodystyle, the all-new 2024 Porsche Macan has inherited many of the Taycan’s styling touches, including the “four point” daytime-running lights and a slim 3D full-width tail light strip.
The all-new second-generation Macan has grown in every dimension save for the height, with an 86 mm increase in wheelbase giving the model a sportier stance on the road. Also new here is the heavily raked rear windscreen, giving the all-new Porsche Macan an almost coupe-like silhouette.
Aside from just aesthetic, the raked rear windscreen, alongside other active and passive aerodynamic touches, have also contributed to the low 0.25 Cd drag coefficient of the all-new Macan, making it one of the most streamlined SUVs on the market, Porsche says.
A set of 20-inch alloy wheels is available as standard across the range, and customers can also opt for the off-road design package, which includes a handful of rugged design elements such as the unique bumpers that raises the approach angle to 17.4 mm, side skirts, roof railings, alongside a set of 21-inch wheels. For cars with the adaptive air suspension (4S and Turbo), the package also raises the ground clearance by 10 mm up to 195 mm.

Inside, the second-generation Porsche Macan’s dashboard has received a significant upgrade, now featuring three individual screens measuring 12.6-inch for the digital instrument cluster, 10.9-inch for the central infotainment touchscreen, and a 10.9-inch passenger screen, alongside a head-up display with augmented reality functionalities.
The screens now run on Android Automotive OS, and supports functions such as the Voice Pilot voice assistant, and other third party applications available for download via the Porsche App Centre.
Thanks to the increased wheelbase, the all-new 2024 Porsche Macan also boasts improved interior space, most notably a larger rear luggage compartment that now holds up to 540 litres – expandable to 1,348 litres with the rear seats folded. There is also an 84 litre front storage compartment (or frunk) underneath the bonnet.
Exclusive to the Malaysian Porsche Macan is an extended range of standard equipments, which includes Power Steering Plus, electrically-opening charging cover, 360-degree surround view monitor with Active Parking Support, a four-zone climate control, a 230V power outlet in the luggage compartment, and a premium BOSE® Surround Sound System.
As with all Porsche models, you can configure your Macan to your heart’s content with an extensive list of options, or via the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur programme if you want it truly tailor made to your specifications.
The all-new Porsche Macan is built on the marque’s 800V PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform, which enables fast charging of up to 270 kW. At that speed, the 100 kWh battery pack (95 kWh usable) across all variants charges from 10-80% in just 21 minutes.
At a 400V charging station, the battery pack will essentially split into two batteries, enabling something called “simultaneous twin-bank charging” at 400V each, resulting in a particularly efficient charging of up to 135 kW. AC charging meanwhile is rated at 11 kW using household wall boxes.
