It’s never easy to be affected by natural disasters, but Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) is trying to help. For owners who are affected by the ongoing floods across Malaysia, VPCM will be offering a 30% discount on genuine parts for flood-affected vehicles between 1 October 2024 to 31 March 2025.
The offer is available at every authorised Volkswagen service centres across Malaysia, where the vehicles will be inspected (complimentary) to assess the extent of flood damage and recommend necessary repairs. Additionally, affected owners can also take advantage of the easy payment plan, spreading the repair bills over six or twelve months at 0% interest.
VPCM is committed to ensuring its owners’ safety and reliability of all affected vehicles, with the initiative part of its comprehensive after-sales care programme, ensuring peace of mind to its customers during these challenging times.
Owners are encouraged to download the Volkswagen Cares app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to redeem their flood relief support voucher, as well as to book an appointment for inspection and repairs. According to the Disaster Information Portal by the Department of Social Welfare (JKM), the floods in nine states across Malaysia have now affected as many as 140,000 inidividuals from 40,000 families. Kelantan remains the hardest-hit state, with 81,279 individuals displaced due to rising waters.
A total of 588 temporary shelter locations have been opened by the authorities, providing emergency aid to the displaced residents across 38 districts in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Perlis, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Melaka, and Johor.
