BMW Technical Trainee Programme celebrates first batch of graduates in Malaysia

BMW Group Malaysia, in collaboration with TOC Automotive College, has successfully concluded the inaugural BMW Technical Trainee Programme (BTTP). The program has produced its first batch of five highly skilled technicians, setting a new standard for automotive training in Malaysia. The BTTP aims to equip the next generation of automotive professionals with advanced knowledge and expertise.

The program is a comprehensive 3.5-year course that meets the stringent standards of the German Chamber of Commerce and the BMW Group. The program combines classroom instruction with practical experience through a 12-month apprenticeship. This approach ensures that students acquire the latest technical knowledge and develop unique diagnostic skills.

Upon completion of the BTTP program, graduates will be awarded a Diploma in Automotive Technology from TOC Automotive College. This qualification is recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Additionally, graduates will receive a certificate from BMW Group Malaysia, further validating their expertise in the automotive field. This dual certification equips BTTP graduates with the skills and credentials necessary to pursue successful careers within the automotive industry.

BMW Group Malaysia Managing Director, Benjamin Nagel stated, “A core belief we hold at the BMW Group is that the foundation of delivering the Premium Ownership Experience begins with investing in exceptional talent. Our exclusive partnership with TOC Automotive College has been a crucial step in nurturing the next generation of local talent to lead in automotive technology. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our first five BTTP graduates, who have not only met the world-class standards of the BMW Group, but are also poised to excel in the evolving automotive landscape.”
