MG Motor Malaysia will expand its electric vehicle lineup by introducing the MG Cyberster. This sporty roadster joins the MG4 and ZS EV as the brand’s third electric offering in the Malaysian market.
Unlike the MG HS and the MG5 previewed in the event, the company has provided nothing regarding specs or pricing. However, it has previously confirmed it will be launched by the end of the year.
In China, the Cyberster is offered in three variants: the entry-level Glamour Edition, the mid-spec Style Edition, and a top-of-the-line AWD variant. It remains uncertain which variants are destined for the Malaysian market.
Powering the AWD variant in China is an all-wheel drive (AWD) electric motor setup that puts out 544 hp and 725 Nm. This allows the all-electric roadster to sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and achieve a top speed of 200 km/h.

The MG Cyberster boasts a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, equipped with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. This battery offers a potential travel range of up to 503 km based on the NEDC standard. The Cyberster also supports DC fast charging at a maximum rate of 140 kW, enabling the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% state of charge in approximately 26 minutes.
