During the preview of the MG5 Gt and the MG HS SUV in Malaysia, MG Motor Malaysia teased that it will introduce the MG Cyberster in Malaysia before the end of 2024.
The MG Cyberster is a convertible EV with scissor doors, and upon its debut in Malaysia, it will be the first of its kind. It will be MG Motor’s 5th model introduced in Malaysia since its revival in the country in 2024.

There are 3 variants of the MG Cyberster in China and there is no hint yet on which version will be making its debut in Malaysia. There is the entry-level Glamour Edition and mid-spec Style Edition which are both RWD single-motor models. In its most powerful version, the MG Cuberster gets an all-wheel drive (AWD) dual-motor setup that makes 544 hp (metric) and 725 Nm.
Underpinning the car’s body is a double wishbone suspension setup at the front and a multilink suspension setup at the back. The Cyberster EV is also equipped with disc brakes all around.

Supplying power to the MG Cyberster is a 77-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which allows the roadster to travel up to 503 km (NEDC) on a single charge. When the battery runs out of juice, it can be charged via DC charging at a maximum rate of 140 kW, which can juice it up from 10 to 80% in approximately 26 minutes.
Earlier teased on the MG Motor Malaysia website, the debut of the MG Cyberster in Malaysia looks like it will become a reality very soon.
