UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has reported a monthly sales figure of 9,000 units (Toyota and Lexus combined) for July 2024, bringing its total year-to-date sales figure up to 55,800 units.
The July 2024 figures represent an 18.2% month-to-month increase in sales compared to the previous month’s 7,600 units, and a 7.8% increase as compared to the same period in 2023. However, year-to-date figures for the first seven months of the year have decreased by 2.1% compared to the same period last year.

UMWT has expanded its lineup with the introduction of the RZ 450e, its first fully electric vehicle, and the LBX, a self-charging hybrid designed for the entry-level SUV segment. Lexus said that these new models underscore Lexus’ commitment to a broader electrification strategy, encompassing both hybrid and fully electric vehicles.
For August 2024, the company is introducing a new “Discover Merdeka Exclusives” promotion, offering customers significant savings, including up to RM8,000 off the Corolla Cross Hybrid and affordable monthly installment plans starting from RM1,058. Additionally, the Toyota Service Savers program provides flexible maintenance options with monthly payments as low as RM31.
