Audi has unveiled the all-new A6 e-tron, offering both sedan and Avant (wagon) body styles in its lineup. This new generation continues the Audi odd-number ICE/even-number fully electric naming strategy.
On the outside, the A6 e-tron showcases a modern front design featuring split headlights, a dominant blacked-out bumper, and a contrasting body-colored Singleframe grille, creating Audi’s signature “inverted” front mask aesthetic. The car’s aerodynamic profile is enhanced by a sloping roofline and flush-mounted door handles. The wide rear fenders visually convey the vehicle’s all-wheel drive capability. The black rocker panels accentuate the vehicle’s electric powertrain and create a visually elongated appearance. The Avant variant incorporates fast-rake D-pillars and a continuous window line extending from the front to the rear spoiler, contributing to its sleek profile.

At the back, the A6 e-tron features full-width taillights with an optional illuminated Audi four-ring emblem, adding a distinctive touch to the rear design. Audi has placed a strong emphasis on lighting technology, offering matrix LED headlights and customizable daytime running lights. The OLED taillights not only enhance the car’s appearance but also provide a safety feature by warning other drivers of potential hazards.
Performance-wise, the A6 e-tron lineup starts with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive (RWD) form. It sends all 362 hp (metric) to the back, getting it from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds onward to a top speed of 210 km/h. The performance-oriented variant comes with a rear-biased dual-motor, with quattro all-wheel-drive (AWD) which produces 497 hp (metric). This is boosted to 543 hp (metric) with launch control engaged, firing the car from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and extending the top speed to 240 km/h.

The new Audi A6 e-tron models are equipped with a 100 kWh battery pack, enabling a WLTP range of up to 756 km for the Sportback e-tron and 720 km for the Avant. Even the high-performance S6 variants boast substantial ranges of 675 km and 647 km respectively. This extended range is attributed to the efficient battery technology and optimized aerodynamics of the vehicles. The A6 e-tron’s 800 V architecture enables rapid charging, with the capability to charge from 10 to 80% in approximately 21 minutes when using a 270 kW DC charger. This technology also allows for significant range replenishment in short charging periods, such as adding up to 310 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes.
The A6 e-tron supports high-speed DC charging, allowing for a maximum charging power of 135 kW. This is achieved by splitting the battery into two 400 V sections for simultaneous charging. While AC charging is initially limited to 11 kW, the car will eventually support a higher 22 kW charging capacity with future updates.

They are complemented with a third 10.9-inch touchscreen for the passenger and the displays for the optional side-view cameras. An augmented reality head-up display can also be found in the options list.
The vehicle’s infotainment system utilizes the Android Automotive OS platform, featuring Audi’s proprietary services such as an advanced navigation system with integrated e-tron route planning capabilities. The system also includes an integrated app store. Like the A5, the A6 e-tron features a voice control system with integrated ChatGPT AI. The whole system can be updated over the air and certain functions available are subscription-based.
