2025 Proton X70 facelift open for bookings – gets Android Auto, Apple CarPlay

The 2025 Proton X70 has now been unveiled and is also open for pre-launch bookings starting today. The facelift is a rather literal one this time around with a more aggressive front end used for the local C-segment SUV.

Proton has yet to reveal the full details of the 2025 Proton X70 facelift but we can confirm that it is upgraded with the following items:

  • ADAS Level 2
  • New 12.3-inch head unit
  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity
  • Proton link app with remote start capability
  • New stone grey Nappa leather seats
  • New multi-colour rhythmic ambient light

Besides the new front end, other exterior enhancements on the new 2025 Proton X70 facelift include a new set of wheels, revised bumpers, and a new nearby auto unlock function for the powered tailgate. Inside, the new X70 strangely doesn’t follow in the footsteps of the Geely Boyue Pro, but instead revamps the original X70’s dashboard with a floating infotainment5 unit screen instead, which is essentially the highlight of the new X70.

The new screen comes with a system very similar to what is found in the Proton S70, and the big news here is that it finally gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Proton has yet to reveal the full details of the new Proton X70 (including its powertrain), but we can feast our eyes on these official images for the time being. The 1.5L TGDI will most likely carry on, but the fate of the 1.8L TGDI is uncertain.

Like the Proton X50, the Proton X70 facelift is being offered with special early bird packages. Interested customers are encouraged to contact Proton sales advisor or visit the nearest Proton 3S and 4S showroom to secure their booking with a deposit of RM500. The booking window will remain open until further notice.
