Before you start typing out your frustrations in the comments, yes, the most powerful C-Class has indeed dropped the glorious-sounding V8 engine for a 2.0-litre turbo inline-4 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engine instead. On the outside, the Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance F1 Edition is styled aggressively with the AMG body styling exterior package and the F1 Edition package. The latter gives the sedan a series of red highlights along its body kit and wheels for a more aggressive look.
The all-new C63 S’ bonnet is 50 mm longer than the regular C-Class to accommodate the larger hybrid powertrain. It has also received new front fenders, while the rear fenders have been retained. All of this contributes to the all-new C63 S’ greater overall length of 83 mm. Its wheelbase is also 10 mm longer, while its overall front width is 76 mm longer.
