Facelift Isuzu D-Max to launch in Malaysia on May 14 – new exterior design, improved on-board features

The new facelift Isuzu D-Max will be launched on 14 May 2024. This was announced on Isuzu Malaysia’s website where the public can register their interest for the new pick-up. Isuzu Malaysia has also released teasers of the facelift D-Max on its Facebook and Instagram pages.

Launched in Thailand in October last year, the facelift D-Max is available with both 1.9-litre turbodiesel and 3.0-litre turbodiesel options. The 3.0-litre variant makes 190 hp and 450 Nm while the 1.9-litre variant produces 150 hp and 350 Nm of torque. According to Isuzu’s site, five variants are available for the new facelift Isuzu D-Max in Malaysia.

There are 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options, with the latter now getting gearshift paddles. The exterior looks more aggressive with redesigned headlamps, daytime running lights, front bumper and front grille. There is also a new 18-inch wheel design to complement the D-Max’s new look.

Inside, while the dashboard layout remains largely the same, the facelift D-Max gets new trims, new displays for climbing and turning angles, a new meter design, a wider angle for its 3D view system and a new Rough Terrain mode.

On the safety front, Rear Cross Traffic Braking has been added. Current prices for the D-Max range from RM94,949 for the 1.9-litre 6-speed manual Single Cab variant to RM152,938 for the 3.0-litre automatic X-Terrain variant.
