The 2024 Audi SQ8 e-tron has just been launched in Malaysia. Priced from RM533,790, OTR, inclusive of the Audi Assurance Package (AAP), the sports SUV is available in two body styles, namely the “regular” SQ8 e-tron and the SQ8 Sportback e-tron.
Exterior equipment included with the Audi SQ8 e-tron in Malaysia consists of the Digital Matrix LED headlights with high beam assist, LED rearlights, and a set of 22-inch Titanium Gray alloy wheels, among other things. Also included with the SQ8 e-tron are the high-tech digital side-view cameras, first seen in the “regular” Audi Q8 e-tron series.
The Audi SQ8 e-tron and SQ8 Sportback e-tron are the first electric vehicles (EVs) in Malaysia to be powered by a tri-electric motor setup. Power is sent to all four wheels, resulting in a system output of 503 hp and 973 Nm. This allows the sports SUV to perform the century sprint in just 4.5 seconds under boost mode, and achieve an electronically-limited top speed of 210 km/h.
Charging the Audi SQ8 e-tron can be done via DC charging at a maximum rate of 170 kW, which can juice up the car from 10 to 80% in 31 minutes. 22 kW AC charging is also supported, allowing the car to be charged from flat to full in 9.15 hours.

Inside, the Audi SQ8 e-tron in Malaysia features kits such as Valcona leather seats, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, along with 10.1-inch and 8.6-inch central displays with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The sports SUV also packs a 16-speaker 3D Bang & Olufsen premium sound system.
On the safety front, the Malaysian spec Audi SQ8 e-tron is equipped with active safety features such as Adaptive Cruise control (ACC) with speed limiter, efficiency assist, swerve assist, and turn assist, as well as Lane Departure Warning (LDW). The Audi Pre Sense for both front and rear are also included.
