Millennium Welt, a dealer partner for the brands BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad has collaborated with energy solutions provider, Gentari to break ground on ASEAN’s first EV Charging Flagship Store in Jalan Kuching, Kuala Lumpur.
The EV Charging Flagship Store sports a display area capable of featuring 66 cutting-edge electric vehicles (EVs). Also included are integrated services such as BMW Premium Selection Showroom and Insurance Renewal Business.
The EV Charging Flagship Store is equipped with six units of 240 kW DC chargers and two units of 22 kW AC chargers, complemented by 14 parking bays.
BMW Malaysia says that the store will guarantee a personalised and seamless customer experience with dedicated staff who will guide customers through all of the EV Charging Flagship Store’s offerings. Additionally, the facility is also planned to be powered completely by renewable energy sources.
BMW Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa Sales Region Senior Vice President, Jean-Phillipe Parain said, “The Millennium Welt and Gentari’s EV Charging Flagship Store would be amongst the first of its kind experience concept for electric vehicles in Southeast Asia. Based on the concept of an EV charging store, the facility enables the charging of multiple vehicles at a single time with a specialised store representing the brands from the BMW Group. The facility demonstrates the Retail.Next appearance as well as services which is developed to complement the future mobility capabilities of our new products and offerings.”
