Would you pay RM3,130 for the Proton S70’s official bodykit?

Is the Proton S70 a little too tame for your liking? Well, Proton has a solution for that in the form of an “official” bodykit, priced at RM3,130.

As seen on the show car during the media preview, the bodykit for the Proton S70 includes side skirts on all four bottom edges of the car, plus a fancy bootlid spoiler, all finished in a dark grey colour that does really add a good deal of aggressiveness to the otherwise conservative design of the sedan.

For more practicality, Proton is also offering a Utility Package for RM455, which includes coil mats, door scuff plates, and a plastic boot tray. The RM1,020 Urban Package meanwhile adds door visors, a dashcam, and blue LED footwell lights for a touch of ambient lighting in the interior.

For RM2,660, the Premium Package essentially combines the Utility and Urban packages, and tacks on an additional Proton X-Watch that usually retails for RM1,499. Not a bad deal if the smartwatch fits your style, and it can even start your car remotely too.

For the whole shebang, the 70’s official “Exclusive Proton Accesories” line-up will set you back a cool RM5,790, although the first 3,000 buyers of the Flagship X variant will also receive the bodykit for free, which means for an RM5,000 extra, you’ll be getting not just a fancy-looking body kit, but also a sunroof and dashcam as well – just make sure to be quick.
