No performance enhancements are included in the X50 R3 20th anniversary package. Being based on the X50 1.5 TGDI Flagship variant, the X50 R3 20th Anniversary Edition is powered by the same 1.5-litre inline-3 TGDI engine that churns out 177 hp (metric) and 255 Nm. Paired with the engine is a 7-peed dual-clutch transmission which transfers power to the front wheels only.

The Proton X50 is the first post-Geely-partnership Proton model to be blessed with the R3 treatment. Will there be R3 kits for the X70, X90, and upcoming S70 too?
