2023 Mazda 3 facelift launched in Malaysia, from RM156k – 1.5G dropped, gets new 10.25″ screen



Following the global update of the Mazda 3 that was announced back in April 2023, Bermaz Motor has now launched the 2023 Mazda 3 facelift for Malaysia, with prices starting at RM156,059. The “Mid” variant has been dropped so there are now 4 versions of the Mazda 3 in Malaysia.

  • 2.0 High (Sedan) – RM156,059
  • 2.0 High Plus (Sedan/Liftback) – RM166,059
  • 2.0 High Plus Black SV (Liftback) – RM175,059

The new Mazda 3 for Malaysia adds a few new things such as:

  • 12-speaker Bose Sound System (for Ignite Edition only)
  • New 10.25-inch head unit
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay (except for High variant)
  • New wireless QI mobile phone charger (except for High variant)
  • Type-C USB connectivity
  • High and Plus now get Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS)

On the outside, things have remained the same for the Mazda 3, with the car still offering the same colour options. Unlike Japan, we aren’t getting any new colours here.

Standard exterior equipment on the Mazda 3 High (Sedan) include:

  • LED Headlights
  • Bulb-type Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
  • LED Taillights
  • 16-inch alloy wheels
  • 4 X rear parking sensors

The High Plus variant (Sedan and Liftback) add:

  • LED Headlights with Signature Illumination
  • LED DRL
  • LED Taillights with Signature Illumination
  • 18-inch alloy wheels (Silver for Sedan, Gray for Liftback)
  • 4X front parking sensors

The Ignite Edition adds the following exterior equipment:

  • Black side mirrors
  • 18-inch black alloy wheels

As for performance, things remain the same for the Mazda 3, with the 2.0-litre SkyActiv-G engine retained. The powertrain is standard across the range and the Mazda 3 for Malaysia is offered with an automatic transmission option only. Below are The full details of the Mazda 3’s powertrain:

Jump into the cabin and only do you start to see the significant changes of the Mazda 3. Perched on the dashboard is now a 10.25-inch head unit which now comes with Wireless Apple CarPlay for the High Plus and Ignite Edition variants. The 2023 New Mazda 3 facelift for Malaysia is fully imported (CBU) from Japan and is available for booking. Prices start from RM 156,059, which includes a 5-year/100,000 km manufacturer warranty and a 5-year/100,000 km free maintenance package according to manufacturer’s standards, including labour, parts and lubricants. Both Manufacturer’s Warranty and Free Maintenance have a coverage period of five years and a mileage limit of 100,000km, whichever comes first.
