Good news to all bosses in Malaysia, as UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has just opened bookings for the all-new Toyota Alphard and Vellfire. The Alphard is offered in the form of the 2.4T Executive Lounge variant and will feature the 2.4-litre turbocharged engine, while the sportier Vellfire is offered with the 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated (NA) engine. Prices for the two luxury MPVs are RM538,000 and RM438,000 (OTR, without insurance) respectively.
Paired with Toyota’s Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, the Toyota Alphard’s 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine produces a total of 279 hp (metric) and 430 Nm. The Vellfire, on the other hand, is powered by the brand’s 2.5-litre NA petrol engine and is paired with a Super CVT-i gearbox, resulting in 182 hp (metric) and 235 Nm.
UMWT says that the luxury MPV twins are now more luxurious than ever. Besides featuring premium materials such as leather and woodgrain, their interiors also come with a fixed panoramic glass roof, together with a 64-colour illumination.
The new Alphard and Vellfire are built with the Anti-Vibration Structure which helps reduce impacts caused by bumpy and uneven roads so that bosses like you can conduct meetings or even relax with comfort and luxury. Speaking of comfort, the front and rear first-row seats of the all-new Toyota Alphard and Vellfire are also equipped with heating and ventilation functions. The Alphard 2.4T Executive Lounge rear first-row seats also come with massage functions.

The all-new Toyota Alphard and Vellfire are also the world’s firsts to come with the Hybrid Long Slide function. The first row rear seats can slide up to a range of 480 mm and can be adjusted using both electric power and manual control in the Alphard, and manual only in the Vellfire. The two new luxury MPVs are fitted with 12.3-inch full-colour TFT digital instrument panels, together with head-up displays.
Safety-wise, the Malaysian-spec Toyota Alphard and Vellfire are packed with the Toyota Safety Sense suite. This includes safety features such as dynamic radar cruise control (DRCC), lane departure alert (LDA), road sign assist (RSA), and adaptive high-beam assist (AHS).
In Malaysia, the two new luxury MPVs are available in four colours – Platinum White Pearl, Precious Metal, Black, as well as the Alphard-exclusive Precious Leo-Blond. Customers in Malaysia can now book the all-new Toyota Alphard and Vellfire at all authorized Toyota showrooms nationwide.
