Which of these body kits would you get for your Alphard/Vellfire?

It seems that these days, no Toyota car launch in Japan is complete without a whole lot of body kit options from Modellista and Gazoo Racing. Following the launch of the all-new Toyota Alphard and Vellfire twins in Japan, both “companies” have now unveiled their respective range of customisation options for the luxury van, fit for even the most fashionable taukes.

Starting with the Toyota Alphard, Modellista is offering something called the “Regal Dignity Style”, consisting of the extravagant front and rear bumper extensions, twin exhaust tips, unique illuminated roof spoiler, plus a whole lot of chrome trims (optional accessories) all around the outside.

As for the Vellfire, the “Beast Razor Style” kit also includes the chromed-up side skirts and bumper extensions both front and rear, the latter complemented by the same twin square exhaust tips. Similarly, you can also opt for a whole range of chrome garnishes and illuminated front and rear trims to further spruce up your ride.

Identical exterior garnishes for both models.

If the two kits are a little too flamboyant for you, Modellista is also offering something called a “Cool Shine Kit” for both models, which is basically just the previously-optional chrome garnishes on the outside, paired to a set of two-tone 20-inch alloy wheels for a more reserved look.

At the Gazoo Racing camp, meanwhile, only the Vellfire will be offered with the GR Parts body kit, consisting of the front and rear bumper extensions, side skirts, door visors, and a set of GR-style 20-inch wheels.

Both models, however, can dip into Gazoo Racing’s large selection of performance enhancement parts, including a Performance Damper set that promises a “European car-like steering feel” and improved body control, a rear seats damper set that supposedly “reduces [lateral] head swaying” and improves ride comfort, as well as a set of additional underbody braces to improve steering response and body rigidity.

The GR Parts catalogue also includes some additional accessories for both models, including door handle protectors, tyre valve caps, number plate holders and GR-branded screws, as well as the aerodynamic door visors, though these are – obviously – significantly less cool than everything else they offer.
