MINI Malaysia has revealed new colourways for the MINI Electric Resolute Edition priced at RM205,834 for the standard two year warranty. With the extended four-year extended warranty with service, the price is RM211,164. The battery comes with an eight-year/100,000 km warranty.
Limited to 90 units in Malaysia, the MINI Electric Resolute Edition is now also available in Enigmatic Black and Nanuq White. The two new colourways add to the existing Rebel Green exterior finish. As part of the Resolute Edition package, the MINI Electric moves away from chrome trims in favour of Resolute Bronze on the headlamps, front grille and tail lights.
The Resolute Bronze treatment is also applied to the front fenders, door handles and tailgate. Finished in Piano Black are the MINI and model badges. The door sill trims like the bonnet decals come with a ‘Resolute’ inscription. Completing the exterior are 17-inch Electric Collection Spoke alloy wheels.
On the inside, the MINI Electric Resolute Edition is furnished with Black Pearl/Light Chequered fabric upholstery. The fabric seats are made of recycled PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. The steering wheel is wrapped in Nappa leather and bears the MINI Resolute logo. Boot space is rated at 211 litres.
As for specifications, the MINI Electric Resolute Edition comes with a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, wireless charger, autonomous emergency braking, six airbags, a head-up display, a five-inch digital instrument cluster, 8.8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and adaptive LED headlamps.
In terms of powertrain, the Resolute Edition shares the same with the standard MINI Electric (Cooper SE). It’s driven by a front-mounted electric motor with 184 hp and 270 Nm. The 0-100 km/h time is 7.3 seconds, while top speed is capped at 150 km/h.
The electric motor is powered by a 32.6 kWh lithium-ion battery that’s good for 232 km of range based on the WLTP cycle. With 11 kW AC charging, a full charge takes 2.5 hours while with 50 kW DC charging, 10%-80% state of charge takes just 36 minutes.
