Following the launch of 3 new GR models and two GR Sport models last week, it seems that bookings are now open for the all-new 2023 Toyota Vios. Starting today, UMW Toyota Motor is taking bookings for the all-new Vios, with prices starting from RM 90,000 with the ‘E’ variant being the entry-level model.
Now built on the DNGA platform, the all-new Toyota Vios sports a completely different new look with more angular lines and a visually larger appearance. Also new on the all-new 2023 Toyota Vios are 17-inch alloy wheels for the range-topping variant. Colour options include Silver Metallic, Nebula Blue, Spicy Scarlet SE, Attitude Black, and Platinum White Pearl. The Platinum White Pearl body colour will cost an additional RM400.
There are only two variants for the all-new 2023 Vios, namely the ‘E’ and ‘G’ variants. Both cars are powered by a 1.5-litre engine, which seems to be identical to the Indonesian-spec Toyota Vios’s engine that makes 106 hp (metric) and 138 Nm. Unlike in Indonesia, there is no manual option for the Malaysian Toyota Vios. The automatic transmission is most likely a CVT.
Highlights listed in the Vios’ brochure include an electronic parking brake, paddle shifters, 3 drive modes, rear air-cond vents, a 9-inch display unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 3D panoramic view, and blind spot monitoring (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Advanced safety features on the new Vios include lane departure prevention, lane departure warning, front departure alert, pre-collision system, lane keeping control, adaptive cruise control, and auto high beam.
Also revealed are “tech-up” optional accessories that include a digital video recorder and a vehicle telematics system. There is also a “Toyota Service Savers” package with either a 5-year/100,000km or a 3-year/60,000 km duration.
Included in the price of the all-new 2023 Toyota Vios is a 5-year/unlimited mileage warranty. The official launch date of the all-new Vios in Malaysia has yet to be revealed. Interested customers can make their bookings for the all-new 2023 Toyota Vios on Toyota Malaysia’s official website.
