Proton has handed over 28 units of the Proton X70 via Spanco Sdn Bhd to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN). The SUVs will be used by KPDN for enforcement activities.
Present at the handover ceremony was Deputy Director of UCM and Corporate Sales, Wan Ahmad Fadzli and Head of Corporate Sales, Fazli Hisham. The X70 SUVs will be distributed to all states by the Secretary General of KPDN who will hand over the vehicles to the Chief State Enforcement Officers.
Prior to the handover, Spanco and Proton representatives conducted a vehicle briefing programme in the presence of the KPDN’s enforcement officers. The programme was held at Spanco Services located in Bandar Baru Bangi.

Currently, the Proton X70 MC (minor change) is powered by the same 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine found in the Proton X50, with 177 hp and 255 Nm of torque. With the minor change, new to the X70 includes a new wheel design, gloss black exterior trims and black headlining on the inside. Prices now start from RM98,800 for the 1.5 TGDI Standard 2WD up to RM128,800 for the 1.5 TGDI Premium 2WD.
