UMW Toyota Motor has just published its sales performance figures for the month of August 2022, in which it recorded a total sales of 8,961 units for Toyota and 130 units for Lexus, putting its overall sales for the month at 9,091 units.
The August sales figure is the highest the company has recorded this year, and also represents a substantial 37% jump over its sales performance in July 2022 (6,637 units combined). With the August data accounted for, total sales volume for the company now stands at 61,639 units (Toyota and Lexus) as of August 2022 – a 62% increase compared to the same period last year.
UMW Toyota Motor President, Ravindran K said, “The team at UMW Toyota Motor is extremely grateful for the strong support and we are working around the clock to intensify production to ensure delivery to new car owners.
“The introduction of the Toyota Veloz will be a significant moment for us, and we are confident it will be popular among Malaysians with its value for money premium offerings, advanced features and of course, the renowned Toyota quality and reliability”, he added.
The seven-seater MPV is set to be unveiled in Malaysia “very soon”.
