We heard you like our comparison videos, so we’re bringing you another one again. This time, it’s between three different pick-up trucks – the Mitsubishi Triton Athlete, Nissan Navara PRO-4X, and the Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain – to find out who’s the true king of the jungle, with a specially-designed course around M4TREC (Malaysia 4WD Training & Experience Centre).
But that’s not all – we’ve also assembled a crack team of Malaysian automotive YouTubers this time around, consisting of Tai Choo Yee (CarPlus.my), Abang Gan (PanduLaju.com.my), and our very own GC Mah to take part in the challenge, all while speaking in three different languages! Take note, Bossku, this is how you do 1Malaysia right. 😉
The challenge is split into three rounds to test three different aspects of the trucks. The first is called the frame twister, to test the trucks’ rigidity and traction aids, followed by the hill descent control test, and last but not least, a water-wading challenge.
But as usual, we at AutoBuzz.my don’t just stop there. To make the challenges a little more interesting (and funny, if we may say so ourselves), we’ve also added a few unique tasks in each round to truly push the limits of not just the trucks, but also their drivers as well. Want a little hint? This may be the first and probably only time you’ll see these three guys get wet together!
To make the challenge fairer, we’ve also fitted all three trucks with the same Bridgestone Dueller A/T 001 all-terrain tyres, designed for everyday safety and comfort in mind, but still have the capabilities to take on the occasional tough terrains and muddy paths. And since our three hosts returned from M4TREC safely and (mostly) unscathed, it’s safe to say that they definitely held up to their claims.
