Sales rebound for Proton in September with over 10,000 units sold

National carmaker Proton has just provided the breakdown of their September sales performance and the recovery after months of restrictions is looking great. With a total of 10,380 units sold, the company is proud to announce that it captured a 23.9% market share for September.

Recently launched facelifted models of the Proton Persona and Proton Iriz posted a strong first month of sales. While production still not at the full output due to a shortage of components, Proton managed to deliver 1,440 units of the Persona and 749 units of the Iriz.

As for the ever-popular SUV models from Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, the Proton X50 managed to set the highest sales after the Proton Saga, at 2,431 units. Year-to-date, Proton has managed to deliver over 16,600 units of the X50 model.
