TMJ seen with rare Ford GT in meeting with Olympic Silver medalist Azizulhasni Awang

It’s no secret by now that the Royal Family of Johor are fanatical enthusiasts of everything with wheels. We’ve seen them make an appearance in the new Genesis G90 recently and spotted a cool Lincoln Navigator SUV through the Crown Prince’s social media post.

Recently, the Crown Prince of Johor was seen with yet another cool ride en route to his meeting with Malaysian Olympic Silver medalist Azizulhasni Awang. This time his highness was seen with an ultra-rare Ford GT but it’s not just any Ford GT.

It sports an exclusive ‘Victory’ livery that consists of Liquid Red, Frozen White, and Lightning Blue. According to Ford, the colour scheme is not available for sale to the public but instead reserved only for Ford employees.

The ‘Victory’ livery mimics Ford’s 2016/17 race team colours that went on to win its category in the 2016 version of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The victory in 2016 was also extra special as it was the 50th anniversary of the first victory by the Ford GT at Le Mans back in 1966. Ford finished the race in 1st, 2nd and 3rd position that year, breaking Ferrari’s long-standing dominance in the sport.

The Ford GT is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 with 647 hp and 746 Nm while the track-only Ford GT Mk II pushes out over 700 hp. There are only about 1,300 units of the Ford GT in the world. Each starts from around USD 450,000 (approx. RM1.8 million before tax).
