MINI Malaysia has released a new price list for its vehicles. This is a similar step to the BMW price list we covered earlier, with the flexibility to select extended warranty and service inclusive package as a customizable item.
“BMW Group Malaysia is now offering our dealers and customers greater flexibility in terms of customizable specifications and warranty on their BMW and MINI vehicles, all of which can be done on the new digital interfaces of BMW Shop Online and MINI Online Shop. This also enables a more direct interaction between our dealer network and their respective customers for a more personalized product offerings at attractive prices,” said Harald Hoelzl, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia.
As such, customers now get to adjust the purchase price of their new MINI model to their liking, either taking just the standard two-year unlimited mileage warranty coverage with a new the retail price or include everything which sees the price similar to those at 2020 levels.
The flexibility offered means there will be three structures of MINI retail pricing. This scope of personalization allows buyers to have the standard two-year warranty, or customized to have just the extended warranty coverage without prepaying the service package upfront.
Extension of the warranty coverage is categorized according to powertrain performance levels. Coverage for the regular MINI models is priced at RM2,500, while the John Cooper Works models is RM 2,900. The package for the 100% electric MINI SE is priced at RM2,600.
Meanwhile, the four-year / 60,000-kilometre service package that includes replacement of lubricants and air filters is priced at RM5,600 for the regular MINI models and RM6,000 for the John Cooper Works models. The fully-electric MINI SE only requires a service package of RM2,000.
As for the MINI Roadside Assistance, coverage will still be provided up to the fifth year.
