The new Kia Seltos is a night club on four wheels with Sound Mood Lighting

Previously we talked about the exterior lighting of the all-new Kia Seltos, and why it was so unique. This time we take a look at the unique lighting system inside the cabin and other features the Kia Seltos will come with.

The range-topping GT Line will be fitted with a Sound Mood Lighting System, a first in the Kia SUV segment. This system emits a soft light from unique 3D-patterned surface panels located on the door cards.

The uniqueness of the Sound Mood Lighting system is that it emits pulses according to the beat of the music played in the cabin, and it comes with eight customisable colours and six themes to illuminate the cabin.

Aside from the above, the Kia Seltos GT Line will come equipped with 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar support, and for additional comfort, both driver and passenger will get ventilated front seats.

To further enhance the driving experience, the Kia Seltos GT Line will feature a Heads Up Display (HUD) and 7.0-inch colour Supervision display multi-info display in the instrument cluster that will be able to display a variety of information such as the vehicle’s speed, radio stations/playlist and cruise control information.

Sitting proudly on the centre console is the 8.0-inch infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Below the Automatic Climate Control, the Kia Seltos GT Line gets a wireless charging pad.

On the exterior, the GT Line will sport LED headlights, LED fog lights, a glossy black grille, front parking sensors, LED rear combination lights, and sportier 17-inch dual-tone alloy rims.

The EX variant, on the other hand, shares quite a bit with GT Line such as LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy rims, 8.0-inch infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a six speaker audio system, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, cruise control, self-dimming rear-view mirror, rear air-con vents, stability control and six airbags.

Both variants of the Kia Seltos will be powered by a 1.6-Litre Gamma naturally-aspirated MPI four-cylinder engine, offering 123 hp and 151 Nm. The petrol mill will be paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox to drive the front wheels.

The Kia Seltos is now available for booking at selected Kia showrooms nationwide; the full list of participating showrooms can be found here. Following the Sales Tax Exemption announcement, for the latest price list of Kia vehicles in Malaysia, click here.
