In a bid to encourage social distancing measures during this holy month of Ramadan, Volvo Car Malaysia (VCM) is launching its Ramadan Safe Pledge campaign to further reinforce the government-mandated Movement Control Order (MCO), despite the recent announcement by the Prime Minister for the relaxation of the MCO rules.
The campaign will run from the 4th to 23rd May 2020, where VCM is inviting the general public to pledge their commitment to the social distancing rules. As an incentive, VCM will be giving out GrabFood vouchers worth RM10 for the first 500 successful pledges daily. Over the 20-day campaign period, VCM will be giving out 10,000 vouchers for a total value of RM100,000.
To take part in the pledge, participants will have to register their pledge at the campaign microsite here. After the pledge, participants will then have to repost one of the five Volvo pledge images on their Instagram accounts anytime between 10 am to 3pm, tagging Volvo Car Malaysia (@VolvoCarMalaysia) and the hashtag #MYVolvoSafePledge in their post.
If your submission is eligible, the voucher will be sent directly to the email address used to sign up for the pledge. Each voucher has a validity of six months. VCM will be selecting successful participants daily, on a “first-pledge-first-repost” basis. Every Instagram account will be limited to one entry only.
VCM Managing Director, Nalin Jain said, “It is undeniable that all of us are affected by COVID-19 and the implementation of the MCO means we have adopted a new norm in our daily lives. Onward from this, we want to do what we can to help ease the burden of
Malaysians.
“[…] We hope that through this campaign, we can help alleviate some of the challenges that may be experienced during this time because we are all in this together and a little help goes a long way. We also would like to take this opportunity to wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a blessed Ramadan,” added Jain.
In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya festivities, VCM will also be rolling out an array of special offers from 1 May to 30 June 2020. These will include complimentary five-year maintenance service package (VSA5+) for new owners of all Volvo models, Recharge package worth RM30,888 for selected models, and Hager Wallbox worth up to RM8,000 for selected PHEV variants.
In addition, all online bookings will also receive a complimentary Polestar Optimisation package worth RM5,250. For more information on these offers, VCM advises customers to contact their preferred Volvo dealers.
