BMW Malaysia updates 320i Sport and 330i M Sport with AEB and other driving aids, costs RM5k more



BMW Malaysia has updated the equipment list of both the CKD 330i M Sport and the 320i Sport where both now feature the long-awaited, highly coveted autonomous emergency braking.

In the Driver Assistance section of the brochure for both models, the Driving Assistant Package is now included – consisting of Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, front collision warning with brake intervention a.k.a autonomous emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert and rear collision prevention.

These have been added to supplement the existing features such as cruise control with braking function, Parking Assistant with Reverse Assist and reverse camera.

These additions however will cost you extra RM5k on both models. The CKD 330i M Sport which was introduced six months after the CBU model was launched and reviewed, now costs RM293,800, up from RM288,800 while the 320i Sport now comes with a price tag of RM248,800, up from RM243,800.

As a refresher, the CKD 330i M Sport comes with 258 hp and 400 Nm and does 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds while the CKD 320i Sport has 184 hp and 300 Nm, with a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7.1 seconds.

Both are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, paired to a 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
