RM70,000 prize pool for this year’s Toyota Velocity eSports Championship!



Following the success of last year’s Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Velocity eSports Championship, UMW Toyota is back with another season of the racing simulator challenge.

The virtual racing challenge compliments the high-performance activities of Toyota including the imminent introduction of the Toyota GR Supra and GR Garage – UMW Toyota’s dedicated performance show galleries.

Through eSports, the company hopes to engage even more racing fans to be part of its high-octane activities. The TGR Velocity eSports Championship is open to all Malaysians aged 18 and above. To be part of the Grand Finals, racers will have to go through a time-trial phase Cove Esports in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, Selangor on 31 August, 1, 14 and 15 September. The top 40 races with the fastest lap time will be eligible to enter the final.

This year, the finalist will compete with each other for the prize pool of RM70,000 in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on 21 to 22 September 2019. All participants will be racing in the 2019 Toyota GR Supra and will be placed behind the wheel of a Thrustmaster racing simulator for the Gran Turismo Sport.

This year, the top 10 finalists will be competing head to head on a 10-lap race on a best-of-three tracks which are Kyoto Driving Park, Suzuka Circuit and Fuji Speedway. To register, head on over to Toyota Velocity’s website.
