UMW Toyota officially launched the eight-generation Toyota Camry at the 2018 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show and we finally got the opportunity to get to know the car up close and personal.
Offered as a sole 2.5V guise fully imported from Thailand, the new Camry carries a hefty price tag of RM189,900 (OTR without insurance). It soldiers on with the tried and tested 2AR-FE 2.5-litre Dual VVT-i four-cylinder engine and 6-speed automatic pushing out 184 hp and 235 Nm to drive the front wheels.
While the engine is a carried over, everything else is all-new – Keen Look design language, TNGA chassis, latest Human-Machine Interface cabin design, Toyota Safety Sense-P advanced driver assistance system, 18-inch alloys and more.
