Maserati Ghibli gets a simpler gear lever & new touchscreen for 2019

After the Maserati Levante SUV received an update in late 2018, the new bits and bobs have found its way to the MY2019 Maserati Ghibli.

Changes to the My2019 car are minimal as the four-door executive sedan was given a facelift in early 2018. New items include a redesigned electronic gear lever that is more intuitive to operate as well as the 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) touchscreen infotainment display with updated graphics and improved Climate Control functions. The Adaptive Full LED Matrix headlamps have also been made standard across all variants.

No changes were made to the mechanicals with both the Ghibli and Ghibli S employs the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 and eight-speed ZF automatic transmission with output figures rated at 350 hp/500 Nm and 430 hp/580 Nm respectively. The Ghibli will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 267 km/h while the Ghibli S is a touch quicker at 4.9 seconds with a higher top speed of 286 km/h.
